Overview

LocDirect is a client-server based content system connecting all the stakeholders in the localization process. Everyone is working on the same set of data removing any version problems and reducing delays. The system supports small handheld games to large multiplatform projects and can be used for any target platform. 
 
LocDirect supports translation on a per string level in parallel with development as well as traditional export/import of translations in batches. Every single string is version controlled giving you maximum freedom in how and when you wish to translate your strings.
 
When a new string is defined by the developer using the LocDirect client, the client automatically generates build data that is imported into the game and also makes the string available to translators. Once a string has been translated it is automatically and seamlessly integrated into the game in development. No more sending excel files back and forth – LocDirect provides instant and seamless integration of strings.
 
 
By performing localization during development the translator’s workload is smoothed out and localized versions are kept up to date. This means that it is no problem to create a fully localized trade show demo or public beta code. Localization QA can start earlier and sim-ship becomes less of a hassle.
 
LocDirect includes features that prevents overlong “bleeding” strings and format errors as well as supporting voice samples and dialogues. The proofreading function provides feedback to translators so that they can improve their work. When new strings are added, the system scans previous projects for matching strings and automatically re-uses previous translations.
 
The system features a complete audit trail with total tracking functionality. You can view the full history of each and every string. A user can at any given time find out exactly how much has been translated, when it was translated and by whom.
