Marketing Manager
Full-time | Helsingborg, Sweden (Hybrid)
Are you a tech-savvy marketing generalist ready to take the next step in your career? Do you thrive on being a change agent, making things happen, and driving results? If you’re excited by the idea of building out a full marketing strategy from the ground up, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Founded in 2009, LocalizeDirect supports over 500 leading gaming companies in making their games available in a multitude of languages and cultures. This year our SaaS platform Gridly was launched as a separate company and we are now looking to start building for the future of LocalizeDirect as a pure services company. Reimagining how we do digital marketing is a core part of this journey.
We are a friendly bunch and we collaborate on a foundation of trust. Our background in gaming and game development means that we believe in making work entertaining as well as meaningful. We like to think of ourselves as a tech savvy bunch and we aren’t afraid to try new things. Working at LocalizeDirect you will be expected to conceive of and try different approaches and - failure or success - take the learnings with you into the next iteration.
Key Responsibilities: As our Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of LocalizeDirect. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Build, implement, and manage comprehensive digital marketing strategies aimed at driving growth, brand awareness, and customer acquisition in the localization industry.
- Manage External Agencies & Partners: Coordinate with external marketing agencies, content creators, influencers, and partners to execute campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand values and business goals.
- Digital Marketing and Lead Generation: Drive and optimize digital campaigns using SEO/SEM, social media, PPC, email marketing, and content marketing to generate quality leads and increase conversions.
- Budget Management: Own the marketing budget, allocate resources efficiently, and maximize ROI from various marketing activities such as paid ads, sponsorships, and promotional events.
- Brand Development: Develop a strong brand identity that resonates with gaming and tech companies, focusing on positioning LocalizeDirect as a leader in localization services.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Set up marketing KPIs, track performance, analyze trends, and report insights to the leadership team to refine strategies.
- Content Oversight: Collaborate with writers, translators, and designers to ensure that all content—whether written, visual, or multimedia—is consistent and effective in reaching our audience.
- Build In-house Marketing Team: As the company grows, hire, mentor, and lead an internal marketing team.
- Partnership Marketing: Build strong relationships with gaming companies, industry influencers, and media to create co-marketing opportunities that expand our reach.
Still with us? How about a little on the requirements:
- Generalist mindset: You have broad experience across multiple marketing disciplines and enjoy being the “spider in the web” rather than an expert in just one domain.

- Sales alignment: You are comfortable working closely with the sales function and aligning marketing efforts with sales goals.

- Demand generation: You know how to craft and execute integrated omni-channel campaigns that drive results and meet targets.
- Content savvy: While we don’t expect you to be a full-blown content creator, you need to have an eye for what works and an ability to recycle and repurpose existing content, as well as lead development of new assets in accordance with your content strategy.
- Up-to-date knowledge: You stay informed on the latest digital marketing trends and continually seek to improve your skill set.
- Startup experience: Beneficial if you’ve worked in smaller companies or startups where you’ve worn many hats, from planning to execution.
